How to test the download speed of Singtel 8Mbps?

Hi!

Just upgraded to 8Mbps from 3Mbps

Was downloading some files and the download speed reaches 3.68Mbps which was higher than my previous 3Mbps plan whereby I was getting max about 3.12Mbps

I'm using the DLINK-655 router and a very old modem by AZTECH 305E

I would like to know whether my old modem can download up to 8Mbps or maybe some speed testing sites to test my 8Mbps line

I'm on the 8mbs plan but the usual KB i get for upload is usually 6555 kbs for download and 200+ for upload.

Hmmmm......I don't think I want that MIO modem.........I would call DLINK up tomorrow to ask them to recommend a DLINK Modem instead so my system is TOTALLY by DLINK ie. modem, router and ALL my IP cameras

OK, confirmed tested with the site given by provider. Download speed does not exceed 4Mbps so I suspect it's my old AZTECH modem problem

of cos la, 305e is only adsl1 capable, how to get ur wanted speed.....

its free, so just use it. tho you're free to change if u so like.
