Rapidshare Premium Problem on Starhub - Starhub blocking?

Hi All,

I have a premium account with Rapidshare. I started to have problems for the last 24 hours for downloading stuff. Rapidshare.com and premium login portion of the site works without a problem. However when I try to download a file, times out. Nothing shows up. I checked the files with a link checker and files are present, the issue I cannot download them.

Anybody experiencing this? Is Starhub blocking something?

(I didn't change anything for the last 24 hours, either starhub or rapid made a change)

I've got some links giving me an average of 5.4KB/s, some takes forever to load. On Safari, Mozilla tells me I need 20 odd days to download Firefox. It used to take seconds, but now it takes a coffee break for the few tabs, on few windows, to load. Thank you Star****.

Magically it has started to work again.. I wonder my call to Starhub helped?

Ok.. After downloading 300Mbytes.. it stopped in half way.. Now I am thinking, either SH or RS screwing with servers.. The downloads started to work 24 hours after it stopped and as soon as I download some new stuff, it stopped again.. Sounds like SH is checking bw allocation and punishing me.. (I hope this is not the case).

Anybody out there can download from RS premium?

I on RS Premium and I do encounter the same exact problem as you. Got to keep retry again and agan. But when use SNBB on another place, I never encounter this problem at all.
Got to live with it.

I'm also having the same problems.
Never had such a problem and it's even affecting my overseas connection.
Very annoying and to make things worse, Starf-ck isn't picking up any of my calls to them, regardless of what time I call.

theres nothing wrong for my starhub, I am on MU premium. Able to hit 1.4mbps consistently, on starhub premium

Well I'm on RS Premium and I have problems connecting to RS.

Seems like the SF engineers are doing something. Keep on getting those forced network closed messages.

last time i thought it's bcos starhub got 2 range of ip address
to rapidshare, it look like 1 ip from range 1 requesting for the file and another ip from range 2 getting the file, thus block.
maybe ask rapidshare to include both range for starhub user

I can download the same rapidshare file on vodafone but not on max online. MaxOnline cannot even load the rapidshare page at all. This is bad

if those not on SH contract , i recommend jumping ship ~ anything is better than SH .. :) after i jumped ship everything is much "greener" on the other side .

Using ST BBoM, download starts immediately on RS. Using SH FBB, intermittent problem.

Hmm..seems like Comcast users over at the States are having this issue as well.
They're pretty sure that it has something to do with RS though....

My strong feeling is that the problems are related either Starhub or Singapore general. I didn't have single problems before mid last week but since that Rapidshare Premiumis working only few hours per day.

At the same time when I cannot access files from home using my Starhub broadband I can download the same files using my company VPN which is going outside Singapore, couple of places in APAC and Europe.

So, clearly problems are related to Starhub. I have noticed when trying to download some files using Firefox the file is found from Rapidshare but the content is zero, i.e. the download is immediately disconnected.

not sure if its related but i have a megaupload premium acct n since this morning i m having alot of problems getting files off megaupload. MU web pages are loading very slowly n i m able to only download one file per time using download managers. I m on suxhub premium...n the best thing is that the suxhub webpage isnt even loading for me...LOL

i on starhub with dl speed of 4.75mb/s on speedtest , yet getting crappy 100kb or sometimes even lesser than that like 50kb/s + or 12kb/s
im using the old model surfboard modem with dlink 655 router ?
i assume the prob is cause by my old modem ??

probably, esp. if u r gettig 100Mbps plan.

Could it be ur router leh coz u may have too many laptops & PCs dling @ the same time?

Does watch SCV matters? On Singnet Mio, it matters. So my advice is on a Mio 6Mbps plan, use at most 3 PCs / laptops to dling and dun watch TV @ e same time (For me typically 2 which can also be pathetic @ nite, since it was known that during night time is bound to have many interference within home, including lamp. Read yesterday Zaobao & u noe it)

Otherwise ur TV lag like hell, sound & image distorted and other PCs have diffculty access web (This is true esp. u use download manager which easily max out ur connection speed)
