Why am I Behind proxy server?

I tried downloading a file from a free file hosting site and it tells me that I'm behind a proxy server! I have setup my browsers to connect directly with no proxies. Using starhub. Is there something wrong here?

not only SH user affected lah

I think StarHub is behind proxy... you will never get to download from rapidshare, depositfiles, bandongo etc. Well you can if you are lucky but most of the time, you just can't. I switch my connection to pacnet whenever i need to download from those site lol.

PacNet is also applying proxy to all connection what. Dosn't change the equation as far as proxy is concerned.

i do remember that all ISP in singapore apply proxy to all their connection. I think the one that makes different is so many connection under StarHub, and it only have so little proxy? same or not the same, i find it easier to use pacnet or singtel(bro's place) to download from those sites
