hi
i am on maxonline and have digital voice.
my contract has just ended.
i am thinking of downgrading to just 2mpb instead of 10mpbs because most of my download does not require high speed.
1. what is the best configuration/isp i should use ?
(would like to have a phone line still.. digital voice cost $10 per month if you don't get high end maxonline plan)
2. any good deals by the isp lately ?
3. should i treasure my freedom or get contracted again ?

my premium plan just ended yesterday n i called CS this morning to downgrade mine to express w/o any contract.so i need to pay full price. will see if theres any offer tomorow b3 deciding what to do next.
actually i wanted to sign up with singnet but they dont have free digital voice. looks like the total cost is same for both.
I have cancelled my MOL with Stahug finally.
Going to jump ship to take the 8MB plan at $35 per month.
Stahug MOL Express about $45 per month ( if recontract for 24 mths), if we consider the fixed line phone bill, the price between Stahug and Sinktell are almost the same.
But no harm give it a try after staying with the long , fat green pipe for almost 5 years.

By comparing apples to apples (full price with no tied-in contract period), you are free to recontract or terminate the service at any one time.
Now, lets assume you go for the surflite and pay the full price at $30. the DV will cost $10, ie. total cost will be $40 per month.
If you go for the Express plan, you pay $60 per month. You will get free DV.
The cost savings is $20 per month and you should ask yourself whether you need the extra speed.

starhub has below the line promotions for customers who got no contracts...
can call them and ask if they have promotions for mol express at a special discount

Sorry sarpork, borrow your thread to ask similar question.
Folks living in AMK area, which unlimited BB is more fundamentally sound, more trouble-free?

no such thing as unsound/unstable and troublesome.
well, unless your block infra is badly maintained, but such issue will still be restricted to your residential block.

Duly noted.
I am truly lost though :D Lotsa negative feedback on Starhub BB of late. I also have 2wire bad connections problem with Singnet at my parent's place.
