after installing the lan driver.there is still no icon of my connection on network connection.at bios its enabled.any pros have encounter this or have any suggestion.

i just reformat!! problem still exist.i have been playing around with it for 2 days still cant solve it.

have you tried to t check netowrk property, right click on the network card --> property --> check on the box indicate display when there is a link detected (or something like that)

Check Device Manager and see if NIC is installed and working properly first.

Also check if enable in BIOS. Did it occur to you that the built-in LAN port could be faulty?

my network card oso like tat. Sometimes NIC is displayed in Device manager. Sometimes don't have. It is time I get a new network card.

go to DOS window and perform
C:\>ipconfig /all<ENTER>
Can you see your NIC ?

I have to agree that reformating helps to solve most problems but reformatting every so often is not desired. Always make sure there is another partition or harddisk where you can store all your data. You don't want all those hours of downloading to go to waste.
