Hi,

Can any experts offer any advice on this matter?

I am looking for a print server for my Canon Multifunction Laser printer MF4320d (host-based). I have looked around but not many brands offer print server compatible for multifunction printers, let alone host-based.

Just wondering if Belkin's Network USB Hub (http://www.belkin.com/networkusbhub/) or Silex Technology's C-6700WG (http://www.silexeurope.com/en/home/products/print-servers/c-6700wg.html) is any good?

I have checked D-link products but the staff said they are not compatible for host-based printers.

Hopefully someone can give me some tips on this.

I know I should have bought a printer that is network ready but what's done cannot be undone.

Thanks in advance.

it depends on the implementation of the printserver OR usb network sharing. The latter in the high-end dlink models does allow not just AIO printers, but typically any other usb device. Should be the same like product from other brands based on software controls.

For canon's AIO solutions, you'll have to look at 1 particular model from Axis.

Last time i enquired - its about $200 for the AIO adaptor enabling you to print/scan through network.

This is the model - http://www.axis.com/products/axis_1650/
