My home router got problem yesterday. Called up SingNet, was told that it is power issue with the modem cum wiress router, must contact Malifax. It was at night, the phone couldn't get through. I called just now and was told that it is the adaptor spoilt. Mine is just 4 days passed the warranty period, no more cover. If buy the adaptor from them, $35, but must wait till next Tuesday because no more stock. I search, and found 1 guy selling the adaptor here, at $28. Contacted him, was told no stock, but can use the PSP adaptor, quoted me $38.
What should I do? Get the PSP adaptor from the guy, and can use right away? Wait for original adaptor from Malifax at $35? Buy another better quality ADSL model wireless router?
I have other considerations here. My contract is coming to end soon, stil 6 months left. If I buy a new ADSL modem wireless router, it means I will be stuck to SingNet service, if I want to carry on using that ADSL model cum wireless router. If I buy the adaptor, be it original or PSP one, I have no confidence in 2wire products, seriously doubt it can last long. By the way, my family watching Mio TV through this modem as well, so can't drag too long.
If you were me, what would you do?
