Hi, i am not very sure with some of the functions, just wanna double confirm if you guys have knowledge about it.
1. WHR-HP-G54 is a "super-G" router, but from what I know it is not using mimo technology, it is using a broadcom chipset that support 125 high speed. In order to reach 125 high speed you need to have a 125 high speed wireless receiver too.
2. WHR-HP-G54 have extended range because they have a 4DBI antenna, is that true?
3. WHR-HP-G54 have AOSS, but AOSS only work with device that with AOSS, because I heard a promoter from simlim telling a customer "you buy this go home, press the AOSS button can work already. The customer is using a laptop to connect, so I dont think AOSS will work... Anyone know about this?
4. The high gain antenna is known to be 4dbi is that true?
5. Router and ap mode.
"If you using router mode, you can have wired/wireless connection, however if you are using just wireless, switch to AP mode and your wireless signal from 50m can shoot to 80m"
A promoter from fuwell told me that, just wanna confirm this because I know nothing much about this details.
Wanted to purchase a wireless G router, comparing it to DIR-300, it have only basic functions. However Dlink provide life time warranty and the price is $49 comparing to WHR-HP-G54 @ $88
Questions...
I dont need 125 high speed, just the range. If i change DIR-300 SMA antenna to a 4.5DBI omni-direction antenna will the wireless range as far as WHR-HP-G54 "extended range" ?
Just looking for value for money wireless G router for a 5room flat.
