Download speed SLOW

Hi,

Need help on below :

Currently using 8MB Singnet Broadband, 2wire 2701HGV-E.
Using U-Torrent, dwnload speed is around average 30Kbps and upload average 40Kbps.

How could I improve on the download speed ?

I read thru many forum and indicate my do setting on U-torrent and also port forward.
But there's too many settings recommended till blurr.

Anyone who's having the same config and done it with good download speed ?

Pls kindly help.

the speed itself also depend on the total Seed & the speed they upload.

I'm using utorrent mac, did not do any changes to setting at all. just the port number. and i get

sometime the upload speed of urs also affect the downloading

If the other party whom you are leeching from is using a dial-up connection you will never see an improvement in speed.

The speed is largely dependent on your peers.

If your port is open and your peers are indeed sharing, you will get max speed. It happens on popular torrents only for short periods of time.
