New singnet user with question

Hi, i recently hook up on singnet bb 8mbps with singtel's website to waive off the $40 charge. Supposedly to be activated today. I would like to ask, the password and user id is it suppose to send to me by mail or there isnt one? i remember signing up online they asked me for which user id i want.

Another question. Can i just hook my current router up with the speed touch 536i straightaway? Do i add the singnet userid and password to the PPPoE tab?

They should have send u an user id specified by you with a password. It is required when entering info for pppoe. Remember the userid to use is XXXXXXX@singnet

I didn't receive mine. And I had to call them and ask for the password...

Emailing of password is a very unsafe practice. I think a hard copy letter is more likely.
