[B]Need help in getting internet onto IE[/B]

My scenario:

Computer[1] Connects to the internet using SNBB ADSL modem.

Computer[2] Connects to the internet via Lan connection linked to Computer[1] which uses a cat 5e lan cable.

Computer[2] Can play online game i.e connects to US game server. But the internet explorer just won't load any webpages.

Ip address on Computer[2] is 192.168.0.8 (manually set), Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

How come ie like can't detect the internet??

Which modem are you using, and wouldn't it be even better if you connect the both of them directly to the modem...?

um rather old usb modem. No extra lan port on that modem.. Its just so wierd that my game can connect to us server while IE cannot go hwz,yahoo,google etc
