help! real time data lagging.

Hi

I am currently using SH pre. to trade in US market. But recently ( starting this monday), the real time data i am get is lagging and sometime freezes.

I was told to check the number of hops with the server. I am getting around 21 instead of 15 (ideal)

I thinking of changing to singnet but want to made sure that such problems can be overcome.

Can anyone using singnet broadband do a tracert for me to check the number of hops?

number of hops don't matter one wor, its the final ping latency that matters. if you got 10,000 hops, but last hop 10ms, it means your latency 10ms.

if you are trading big time, i suggest you get a closer trader data feed from local trader house/ investment bank. They have very high speed, low latency access to other market price feed. You connecting locally to them will face lesser delays as well.

wow 16 hops only. I was told that hops are not important but i am will to try anything to improve my situation. Which singnet plan are you using?

I am just a small time trader. just enough to meet end need by trading only one contract at a time. Testing out before moving to higher amount of contracts.
Local trader house required higher commission and higher minimum margin. DonT have the money.
