I'm also curious whether SH restrict this device to connecting thru its own network (ie MOL connection) and hence consider as DVH, or it can be connected thru any internet access such as singnet and works just like the other IADs. Anyone tried?

This is a router, not a cable modem.

If any internet, then it works just like DVT even if SH choose to call it DVH.

I posted a question because I was curious when you said in post #2 that it's for DVH.
As a tech savy guy, I would have thought you'll look at a device on what it does than what it's called.;)

Unkle ish welly cleber wor, throw all the qn and ask someone pickup answer for chiu :s22:
BTW, to differentiate your 2nd para, DVH/T are service offerings. Nothing to do with device.
If you're thinking why both device being ATAs, is segmented by the offerings, you should check with starhub instead.

Not exactly true. Device does affect, like VeCM can only be connected to SH's network. I would differentiate DVH as having to connect directly to SH's network and DVT can be connected to any internet connection.

.....
Im only making the comparison to both ATAs labelled 'IAD'(s) here leh.
If you see the website, the linksys is offered under DVT while the dlink DVH. Both are ATAs, so why segmented to different offerings?
The obvious thing for you to do, ...... is like I mention way back, call starhub mah. haiz

This can be used
i have tested it with $inknet and qala....
this is a Voice gateway AKA Voice box AKA router+VOIP has be around for quite long mostly used in USA for their VOIP services.
but Do rem u cannot flash the firmware when u are overseas as this uses custom firmware and if u planning to use it on a network make sure ur ISP and network do not block the ports required for SIP services
