View Full Version : Need advice: mio internet always disconnect whenever there's an in-coming call

Dear bros & sis,

Just got my mio plan and everything works perfectly BUT 1) internet disconnect and mio tv freeze whenever there's an in-coming call. 2) internet disconnect or lags when turn on mio-tv.

Always have that DSL (cant remember clearly) error message page to ask me ensure my mico-filter is install.


Is this normal?

Had already checked and ensure mico-filters are installed.
I'm using direct analog line (2-way spliter to phone and mio box ) and not digital line via the mio-box.

did u truly connected the microfilter appropriately?
All phone must connect to the phone port. Modem connect it to the port labelled DSL.

yes~ i did confirm all micro fliter are installed.

Main phone jack - used a 1 in 2 out fliter to 1 phone and the other 1 to mio box out.

master room Phone jack used another micro fliter to the phone.

Yes, checked, the fliter phone port to phone and DSL to mio box.

yup i have this problem before and i am under home plan.. called singtel and they came down to check but no prblems found =x dam irratig problems but it was resolved itself after abt 1 month.. dunno what's wrong

same to me whenever I turn on the mio tv set up box.. my internet becomes damn slow!!!!!!

any solution?

quite shock to know i'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

Any expert or any mio staffs that 'lurking' in this forum know why?

u using 2wire modem go to 192.168.1.254/mdc on your internet browser then type in 2wire for the password...... then go to statistics there then do a screen shot post here.....

seems ok ar? sad... :(

due to today is family gathering day, my current disconnected count is already at 20+ times due to the numerous in-calling call... :s27:

no buddies know what might be the root cause?

Will call up the helpdesk once i get home after work. hope the helpdesk is not office hour base.:s11:

i hope i got the right answer for you... my modem died yesterday night, the singnet technician just came, and told me about incoming call will reset the internet and etc, here is the solution....

go to http://192.168.1.254/mdc
password: 2wire

go to under Voice section on the left, then Configure Server

then click on edit, then make sure your IP address and domain are the same, mine is 10.161.129.116. good luck ;)
