Hi I'm taking up mobile BB together with my net book, I'm still in doubt choosing between starhub singnet and m1.
1. I know that starhub come with a free 1mbps plan bundle with mol at $8 for several months. Any feedback or uncomfortable issue when using the 1mbps bb on the move eg public transport?
2. Does m1 give free modem now unlike last time the modem is just rent to you, after 2 years, must return?
3. I'm not sure which telco is better in terms of coverages, economically or what other factors should I take note or be aware of?
Thanks for the help, greatly appreciate it

I find the speed acceptable for a mobile broadband. I get occassionally disconnected when using it on the move but that applies across the board.
m1 gives the modem now. it's no longer a rental basis. however i find m1 noticeably slower imho.
singtel and starhub are both decently usable. coverage wise is almost identical. the only thing to worry is the speeds you'll get in the areas you're using. there's over subscribing for bbom resulting in very very slow bbom speeds for everybody.
Just get whatever plan during offers / contract. It's not worth buying the modem seperately.

The $8.56 MOL Express Plus, read the small prints again hor :)
Anyway, for mobile bb service, get the slower and cheapest plan will do! You have been warned.

Yup M1 now gives modem for free instead of renting liao... So no longer need to return after 2 yrs lo...
Just get the lowest speed mobile broadband speed will do liao... Surfing speed about the same for all plans de.. Personally using M1 1mbps mobile bband and it's not bad lo.. Cheap, fast and unlimited..

I believe a while back M1 was rated to have the worst connectivity/speed.
YMMV, but it's official stats I rem.
Starhub has the highest speeds. Singtel will follow soon when their network upgrade is finished, and so will M1.
