is there any solution to that, as in allocating bandwidth to surfing net?
edit: wow i was surfing a moment ago, few pages unable to load, i had to refresh 2-3 times.
i tried channel 5 website but i met 2 times page load error.
You can limit the upload rate and download rate on the p2p client. This will helps to ensure a certain amount of bandwidth is available for your to surf the internet.
Another possibility of such issue is the modem/router is unable to handle the huge number of connection due to the use of p2p client. To resolve this will likely require you to change configuration on the modem/router or even change the modem/router to another model.

I used to have this problem also with the speedtouch wireless router that comes free with singnet 8mbps plan.. tried changing the configurations but no improvement at all..
now i'm using linksys wrt54g2 router and this problem don't exist anymore. only complain is that the firmware sucks when compared to the speedtouch one..

no need to reduce global connection, 1 single connection can also choke up your entire bandwidth. suggest you not so hiong, self discipline, limit your b/w on your torrent client to maybe half your line speed.
