First, would like to thank all the contributors covering Singtel MIO voice without using the 2Wire modem. This had given me confidence to go ahead to subcribe to MIO voice without getting that modem and decline the on site configuration service.

Tried out with X-lite as a PC client and this works fine.

I now have an alternative hardware solution. I am using the Siemens Gigaset C470 IP solution. This DECT phone supports traditional phone line and supports up to 6 VOIP configurations. In fact, there is configuration data for the base station to support MIO voice :). (Think this is from Siemens). Anyway, this is the configuration data.

How much did you pay for the phone?
Where did you buy it? I'm thinking of purchasing it myself.

Got it at Harvey Norman (Funan) for $238.

Not using the softphone anymore. Works, but I need to work in a VPN environment which will not work with the softphone.

Got the Siemen DECT VOIP phone over the weekend. Have been using for probably 4 hours worth of call time today. Very good voice quality, no breaks or hissing or clicks. Can't really tell the difference except for the initial dial tone.

These settings were pulled by the web based configurator on the base station, not my entries.
