lol, I hope you not using a wireless card to game, that's asking for trouble.

Also, if BT is running, good luck to you getting good ping, BT uses alot of network packets even though speed is low.

You're best bet? play on local server and use wired interface, be evil and selfish do QoS shapping on your family.

Also, doesn't matter what router you use, I could use an entire P4 or core2 PC running linux as a router and even then it'll still be slow if your internet is saturated.
