Is there anyone having problem with Huawei E180 modem?

I had this modem when I sign up my Singtel BBom.

I am able to get connected but unable to surf net or download.

I've tried talking to Singtel's support officer. They blame it on the modem. I took it to Huawei and they check and said modem is fine and insisted is Singtel's issue.

I have no problem when I switch to samsung Z800.

My dad and a colleague had this same model modem and having the same problem as me.

Anyone else here having the same problem?

yeah...i've tried calling Singtel abt this before..
they insisted that i bring my modem down to Huawei...but i know that it is not the modem problem...like you i have tried it by using my phone as the modem and it is working fine.

there is pretty much nothing we can do....unless singtel owns up that it is their problem (whats the probability in that?) :o

Is the problem very persistant on another laptop/desktop ?

If yes, you have a case here. Bring it down to Huawei and insist it is a hardware issue.
