Hi all,

I'm using a D-Link DSL-2640T Wireless ADSL2+ Router; my listening port on Bitcomet is blocked, so I was directed to PortForward.com.

After following the instructions for my specific router, I checked using PFPortChecker by PortForward.com; the status appears as "Your port is NOT OPEN or not reacheable!" Windows Firewall has never been switched on since I bought my computer and there are no external firewall (Norton, etc). I'm only running Avira Antivir, and that is just a simple antivirus program, disabling it does not help either.

Can anybody help me? I'm on Singnet and running Windows XP, if that helps. Oh, one more thing, I notice that the listen port on Bitcomet shows a different IP address from the one I see on "CMD -> ipconfig /all". Anybody using Bitcomet knows why?

Hi Destiny,

Thanks for the tutorial link. I have already done step 5-14, it is the same as on PortForward.com. I'm having problems understanding step 3. It says: "IP Address: Enter the IP address of the client." How do I find out the IP address of the client?

If you are behind a router you will have 2 IP addresses, 1 public and 1 private.

When you do a ipconfig while connected to the router, it will show you your private IP, which will start with 192.168.x.x.

That's the "IP address of the client".
