I'm using a Linksys WRT160N router and a Linksys WUSB600N USB receiver for my wireless connection at home. Initially, the internet connection was perfect and I had no issues.
However, last night I replaced my old pc with a new one, and I used the same USB receiver on the new PC. I connected using Linksys's easy connect. No issues connecting. However, ever since then, I have had a problem with the internet connection being disconnected with Limited/No connectivity for a few seconds. After a few seconds, it will automatically reconnect again with no problems.
Does anyone know what causes this? I can't figure out the problem because it automatically reconnects and performs fine again for awhile before the problem repeats itself.
The only thing I can think of is that with my old PC, I assigned a static IP address to the MAC address of the receiver for gaming/firewall purposes. However, since I carried over the same receiver, it shouldn't be a problem right? I've also tried deleting the static IP address assignment from the DHCP setup on the router, but still have the same problem although the IP address being assigned is still the same.
