They do look like they are overselling themselves. it would probably be good at the beginning but when the crowd comes in, it probably going to get much slower.

I guess they are a new entrant and they needed to do something to shock the public.

Yup probably... But M1 could be upgrading their servers in the meantime too to cope with any anticipated increase in demand..

The theory of M1 Cable and SH Cable gg thru the same pipe yet have different performances shows that it's more of the provider server(last mile infrastructure) rather than the cable technology that is hindering the speed bah..

At least those using M1 Cable now seems to be enjoying their experience... Lol..

I like 6 month contract.
Thinking to get another 15MB connection on top of my 8MB SNBB.

I read somewhere that you need to 'login' manually if you use the M1 as opposed to the no-login needed for SH, I would still prefer SH in that respect. Can be quite troublesome if you need to keep the computer on for days or weeks.

just need to login once in a while.
as long as there's any activity within 24 hours, you won't get logged out.

i've had my pc on 24/7 for abt 7 weeks and it's only ever been disconnected once from M1.

M1 has laid their own cables in most residential areas.

Not sure which isp to switch to?

My current starhub contract is expiring 22/5/09, speed wise is good but always dc halfway when i play garena games like blackshot, dota etc. I use my m1 mobile boardband using the 4mbps, smooth and doesn't dc...
now see m1 price so yummy.... any current m1 users here willing to give comments?

Probably can check with M1 whether can waive if you intend to use back your old Cable Modem instead of getting another one from M1...

Otherwise, wait for roadshows or IT Show etc lo...
