hi guys
i am using linksys wrt54g version 2.2
i went to the ddwrt website
there are a lot of firmware,
which one should i use?

u might wanna give tomato a spin if you don't need vpn features or some specific module in ddwrt, might be more snappy on your router:

To Ts,
If you have trouble understanding this basic information, may I suggest you leave your router alone? Its quite easy to brick a router during the conversion.
Do you have a really good reason to install a 3rd party firmware?

If you can't be bothered to make an effort to read the wikis and the forums, please don't install the 3rd party software. You may inadvertly cause damage to your router and I'm sure you won't be blaming yourself first.

yup, i have tried this b4...
but i can't find the
IP Filter Settings : Maximum Ports: 4096
setting, that is why i swap back to dd wrt...

It's cheap, but do note that you can hardly find v2.2 anywhere now.

And starting from v5 Linksys switched to VxWorks and had the RAM decreased, and v8 has no removable antenna (it's still external but fixed) anymore.

still there is WRT54GL
