Hi, i've been getting this problem for at least half a year now. Up till recently, i thought it was a normal problem due to the game servers. However, this problem dosen't occur on just one MMO but on others as well.

The problem is as follows:

1) Other players who are running beside me will constantly 'blink' around. If they are about to stop running, there will be this 'pullback effect' whereby they will move a distance forward, afterwhich they will 'blink' back to a location they were at before.

2) When a mob runs to me in melee, he will often overshoot me and then blink back in front of me.

3) I will suffer pullbacks from time to time.

4) These are occurring even when i'm not in towns. If i happen to be in towns where there are plenty of players around, the blinking effect will basically happen on every players. Also, they will be pulledback when trying to stop moving.

Noticeable MMOs in which this problem has occured : WOW, Aion, WAR, Guild Wars

Note: I don't have any torrents nor downloads open while playing MMOs. It's also not my router since i've tried bypassing the router before. I'd still get similar speeds on a speedtest.

I'm on Starhub's MaxOnline Express. Thinking of switching over to Singtel. Please advice.

This is the game's problem already. The data movement was not recorded accordingly

Go play maple, you will not see it :P

Yah, it all depends on how the game interprets the UDP packets that are received, to be shown in its visual display.

For example, in the football game I play, sometimes the whole football field flickers like machiam earthquake and sometimes the ball teleports making it hard to keep track. :D

You wanna change to Singnet? Don't even think about it. It will not solve your problem. :D

problem is, none of my friends are experiencing this problem. It's supposed to be a sign of bad lag.

In fact, one of my friends only had this problem during the earthquake. He's on Singtel though.

Theres something wrong with Starhub's latency when gaming in foreign servers.

It happens to me all the time. No idea why, or what caused it.

Their CSR will reply to all my question in their nice accent.

"I've checked, there is nothing wrong with our servers."

I really gave up on them long ago. If you are using wireless, try using a openDNS server. It helps lessen my problems.

FOR some strange reason.
