Hey guys, I believe Starhub is throttling their BBoM. See the speed in the pic below, climbing the same hills but switched the BBoM from Singtel, Starhub then to Singtel.

can testify to this...used to be on MOL premium, 2000+ seeds, 10 leecher, can't even download more than 10KB/s. switched to M1 15mbps, download speed immediately increased to 1.5MB/s, no change in settings.

About two months ago, they removed their P2P throttling and speeds were consistently 200KB/s and above with minimal connected peers. One month into it, they lost that miserable shred of conscience and brought back the throttling, so download speeds are now back to 3KB/s. If you have a VPN, connect through it. If you haven't got a contract, try another ISP.

The site downloading reflect lower download speed on both SH and ST, so the bottleneck could be with the download site. Secondly, ST definitely have higher International BW than SH based on the Fixed Broadband experience so it no surprise the download speed will be higher with ST. Also, there are simultaneous download so why is the other download not throttled ? Just Food for Thoughts...

starhub even throttle normal http download if the site you are downloading have very high speed
look like new throttle method, just 2 week, whenever i download something from site that is high speed the ping to starhub gateway will suddenly become very high >2000ms, and download speed will drop immediately and you can't surf normally until the download is finish.

Best to post up some screen shots for us to comment. BTW, are you talking MOL or MaxMobile?
