Hi all.... looking for a sub-$100 Wireless Draft-N router. Looked around the pamphlets of PC Show 2009 and came down to the following:
1) Belkin N150 Enhanced Wireless Router F6D4230ak4 (is this a draft-N router?) S$65
2) Belkin N Wireless Router F5D4236ak4 S$83
3) Buffalo Wireless-N Nfinity Router/AP WHR-G300N (internal antenna) S$68
4) D-Link Wireless 150 Router DIR-600 (is this a draft-N router?) S$79
5) D-Link Wireless Broadband Router DIR-615 S$109 (not preferred as above S$100)
Need all your advice which to choose? :s11:
Thanks in advance!

wow, didn't realized Draft N routers are so affordable now. Saw the Buffalo at Courts ad, $68 is really a nice price. But the internal antenna is a put-off or i should say a risk factor. But if you house doesn't have many walls blocking, you can consider it.

Thanks keiji and cpuer for your comments! Any bros out there who has experience with the Belkin routers? Is this N150 router a real draft-N router?
Another question, is internal antenna really that bad?
Thanks in advance!

i don't dare to say it's bad, just that it's less effective as those that are sticking out. For some house structure it will not pose any problem, like those with wide open space and gypsum board walls etc.

The cost of a N router indirectly affects the specs and design and hence performance of the router leh.
Most of those 1T1R router with rates of 150Mbps router are actually partial draft N.

Actually the DIR-600 got wireless N. Testing it. I managed to squeeze 54mbps transfer speed out of the Wireless 150. My N adaptor connected to it at 150mbps. Transferred files through wireless at max of 54mbps.

Recommend the D-Link DIR-615. Was selling at $99(supposed to be trade in price, but sales ppl say nvm anyway) during last COMEX.
Owns one, and is a really good performer in the <$100 category

I suppose it's possible to haggle the price down to $100 or below tomorrow since it'll be the last day of the PC Show. I'm going to purchase the DIR-615 tmr.. after reading what you said. HAHA. :s12:

I see. So theoretical max is 60mbps? Maybe should try squeeze a bit more out of it.
