hey guys, how do you feel about this product? Its going off at $169 at challenger~ Is this better then the hsdpa modems sold at those telcom shops?

btw, you can get more info herehttp://www.prolink2u.com/new/products/index.php?cid=84

Not worth in my opinion. This modem is only capable of 3.6 mbps download and 384 kbps upload.

Might as well get the Starhub prepaid broadband kit at $149 consisting of a Huawei E1750 modem which is capable of 7.2 mbps download and 2 mbps (5.76 mbps ready) upload + get prepaid SIM card

I read the news in HWZ and see that prolink USB modem is open to all telecoms and it got a slot to support 8G SD card . but I don't think modem from telecom is open to all. May that is why it is more expensive.

I tried on my Huawei E270 and E170 from StarHub, both are not locked.

However, if you place a SingTel/M1 USIM in it and want to use, you need to do some minimal configurations.

My M1 modem is that bigger size one.

How about Singtel service? Is it stable? Starhub and singtel, which one is better?
