Thanks! I miss that. Now I select the right "computer" tab to point it to the camera IP name/number.
But i still can't remotely view my hse when i type http://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:8080 in a website.
Then i called D-Link, they told me i can't access remote webpage when i keyed xxxxxx.dnsdyn.org:8080 (above website) in my hse. I need to use another network elsewhere to remotely view my hse.
how true is that?
Thanks!

I cannot view the camera website directly too unless I use DMZ mode.
However by using handphone thru 3G (using IDEAS Stream), i can open up my realplayer and stream live....address for you would be
rtsp://xxxxx.dyndns.org:8080/ep-live.3gp
Hope this will help you.. I am still having problems getting the camera to work without lan cable ie on WLAN so that I can place the camera far from the router

rstp://xxxxxx.dyndns.org:80/ep-live.3gp

Hi All, i finally get my DCS-5220 to work remotely and wirelessly.
Thanks all brothers for all the help!
Hi Simcn, to do wireless, u need to make sure your router SSID, Channel number and password input into the IP cam wireless setting is the "exactly" the same. Do a lan wired uplink to yr IP cam then off your modem & IP Cam and then on yr modem and then yr IP Cam.

Basically, it's true. But u can set user rights to block out unwanted guests. 4 users maximum.

thanks for your kind offer. That's a very nice gesture.
actually i think i have set up already.
Can view from outside home network using xxx.dlinkddns.com (must key in user name and password to access the cam)
can view from my hp but using home network by typing rtsp://xxx.dlinkddns.com/play1.sdp
havent try outside home network using hp cos no data plan.
Was trying the wireless@sg but think their bandwidth too slow so can't view anything even thought 100% buffering completed.
My concern is that if anyone else get hold of my dns url, he can view using rtsp without the need of password.
also, can anyone get hold of my ip address illegally and then view my cam too?

I have DCS 5220 and N85.. you have to set your connection setting for streaming on handphone realplayer to 3G WAP or 3G Stream.

My DCS 5220 can communicate with MIO-2wire 2700HGV-2.. However they can only connect for few minutes and then the wlan is dropped again... I was using WEP-open with ASCII 64 bits..
What gateway and security settings, connection rate are you using ?

I don't understand what gateway but the SSID need to be the same.
Wireless mode is "infrastructure"
Channel : same as 2wire router
TX rate : "Auto"
Preamble : Short Preamble
Security : "WEP" same as your 2wire router. Hex with 64bit then filled the 4 default key with your modem password
If it's connected and your wifi to IP Cam is still not connecting. Then you need to check your 2wire modem for additional settings. Did your 2wire modem always disconnect with yr PC? Or is it just the 2wire to IP CAM. If it's the earlier problem, I can show u the steps to check whether your hse has a stable connecting line to your 2wire modem. Becos once your hse line is unstable, the connection to modem then to wifi may drop then connected again.
I hv this problem with Singnet 2wire modem and i complain 3 big times and everytime the same tech came to my hse until he scared n finally solved the problem.
