unable to access internet

hi all, just gotten a hp pavilion dv2 from PC show. theres no problem detecting and connecting to my home's wireless, but i just cant access the internet. unable to get into any website. no issues with the modem and router as my other laptop hook up to the wireless perfectly fine. can anyone help? thanks in advance

When 'connected', are you able to access the router page then?

If yes, its ur PC config problem.
If no, check that you have entered the correct encryption key.

I have the same problem with my new acer laptop bought at the PC show too..I have tried to re-create the wireless profile, re-entrying encryption key again & again, changing the channel but problem still not solved.. My hubby's laptop is working fine.. I have tried to use wireless@sg at my office & my laptop got connected & working fine.. so i think is not due to my laptop..

I am having Singnet BB with 2wire 2700HGV modem..

I am now at my wits end.. What should do to solve the problem?
