firstly i wouod like to say that before i resorted to starting this thread i've thoroughly scoured all the threads for help and tried all the recommendations, but my prob is that i can't authenticate thru PPPOE on my tomato router in bridge mode for the 2701 mio.
read that some of u got ur mio voice and miotv to work in bridge mode with ur dlink655
im trying to get it to work with my wrt54 tomato but its killing me, its not working at at all
i followed ur way to put the 2wire 2701 in bridge mode(kindly correct me if i'm wrong)
VCI/VPI 0 35
disable PVC search
put to static IP
clear the user/pass field
and go to advance services and uncheck routing
my 2wire's internet LED seems to be turned off so i think i did manage to put the 2wire in bridge mode
(
(also tried liangtem's way of doing nothing else and just disabling the broadband connection)
here comes the weird part
so far theres a lot of info about putting the 2 wire into the bridge mode but no one has said much about the PPPoe settings on the router side
i tried all permutations/combinations of entering in the router my user(XXXX@singnet) & pass AND OR puting in the 2 static DNS; the host name as singnet.com.sg
BUT whatever i do i dont seem to be able to authenticate thru PPPOE. my router (wrt54gl running tomato) log says sending PADI and keeps resending without making a connection.
Not too sure whether this will help but i tried to ping the 2wire (192.168.1.254) from the wrt54 tomato's web interface but it says that 5 packets transmitted and 0 received...
I hope some kind soul can help me out , i really did scour all the threads (spent 3 days) adn tried out everything but it doesnt seem to wrk...i dont have any more hair left to pull out
