is this router good enough to fully utilize the 100mbps internet bandwidth? or do i need a gigabit router like the DIR 655?

Using wired or wireless, or both?

Basically, for wired, theoratically the LAN ports would be 100Mbps. However, actual throughput will be much lower.

Therefore, if the plan really comes supplied at 100Mbps, it'll be better you use a router with Gigabit port instead.

Using Dir 615 on wireless should be ok.
If you plan to use wired connectivity to use the 100MBPs, get a router with a gigabit.

Should be good enough. Internet bandwidth can never reach 100mbps anyway. Plus overhead similar to LAN ports, it should be a good match.

For future proof though, you can consider gigabit routers, especially if you networked your own PCs at home.
