got connection to router but just cant access internet.

this problem came suddenly since yesterday.

all the while was okay till yesterday. thought it was starhub's side problem.
till i connect my comp straight to modem.

when connected to router, i've manually set the ip, dns, gateway and etc.
even the Internet Connection icon on the taskbar came up.
but i just cannot access any internet related services.

even after reseting the network connections on my computer to automatically obtain an IP address, it still cant access anything.

only connection straight from modem to comp, then can i access it.

PS: i even tried wifi from laptop, got connection, but not internet.

how ar?

any pros to help me? :(

can you reset the router and link the router and modem wiredly and test the connection? If it works then you proceed into setting up the wireless.

restart your modem everytime u hook it to a diff device.
and you cant change the WAN setting like ip, gateway etc.

check router admin page and see wat ip they throwing u
u sounds link using linksys.. so admin page address is http://192.168.1.1

the router is getting a ip, gateway and etc like its supposed to be at its Status page.
be it i set my comp to a fixed ip with gateway(192.168.1.1) or let it obtain automatically, i will still get connection (as per shown on icon on bottom right).
even the Internet Connection Icon shows traffic.

tried with both wired and wireless.

but i just cannot access any internet services. :(

well... do a master reset to your WRT54GS (remember your wireless/port forwarding setting) since u said yr status page is normal
