Hi peeps,

Without doing any changes, be it hardware or software, Im getting very sluggish internet connection to the internet, even router config page as well.

I narrowed it down to the router itself. have a look at this image:
http://i41.tinypic.com/f551qt.jpg

Firmware is v1.21. Notice the wireless statistics. Tons of errors and packets dropped.

I've restarted the router a few times but still no changes.
*This happens out of no where. I thought singnet was playing punk.

Any idea what i should do?
(googling does not give much help/hit at all)
Or is it, the router is dying?:o

wah, if singnet can punk your wireless network, they sibei steady liao. possible cause could be a new neighbour with very tok kong wireless signal strength on the same or overlapping wireless channel as you. so you must change channel or fight back with higher gain antennas, or even change to 5Ghz router!

Loading of pages can reach timeout occasionally, which is very unacceptable i feel.
It wasnt like this few days back. I always monitor the wireless statistic page every now and then, as far as i can recall, its usually zero for packets drop and errors..

Now is quite the opposite.

ive tried channels 3,4,5,7,8 already. all no difference.
obiously i dont use 6 since most ppl around my unit are using 6.

You cant use 3-5, 7-8 either.
Cos they're overlapping channels.

If possible, check with another router or ur device software also. You must know there are others 2.4GHz device also, that will collide with your AP transmit.

Like that everything is all overlapping isnt it. Yes im aware of other equipment using 2.4Ghz space too..
I tested on my laptop, same result, its definitely not the PC problem. I have 5 PC using wireless..

Must be some bugger pump so much power to his antenna to jam the 2.4Ghz..crap

2Wire nonsense are notorious for this :s13:

What do you mean. im using Speedtouch v536 with DIR655. no 2wire products in my network..

Overlapping, yes, very likely.
You may wan try ch 1 tho. Usually by default router config it has the least user.

You mean some ppl setting to 400mW ah?

They're suggesting that your neighbours are using 2wire products and they are interering with your signal.
