Hardware Not Detected by Vista Ultimate 64bits

Recently I just swapped over to Vista Ultimate 64bits and my Linksys Wireless adapter WUSB11 v2.8 can't be detected by Vista even with the driver CD... Anyone encountered this and managed to solve it?

I saw Linksys website with someone posting a solution for v2.6 but it didn't work for my v2.8. :(

Time to buy a new wireless adapter which is supported. It's not that expensive nowadays.

Too bad Linksys is not developing any 64bit driver even for the WUSB54 adapter.
So can force consumer to get a new buy new adapter.
This is a very lousy and lowly tactic employed nowadays.

Even if you go SLS buy new adapter. I suggest you go to their website to confirm if there is 64bit drivers before you buy.

Because a lot of brand didn't says anything about 64bit Drivers on their box. SLS people also don't know.

Most of the time they would just says support VISTA on th eir box! I got one Wifi G adaptor that does not support 64bit OS. DAMN!


Most poeple in SLS would usually tell you N adaptor "should" support Vista 64bit. Is best that you double check.

Consider the D-Link DWA-110 Wireless G USB Adapter. It has driver support for Vista x64.

My dad went to get WUSB54GC and finally it works with Vista Ultimate 64bits. I love the stick too coz it looks quite cool. :D
