SuPeR SlOw Torrent Speed on Starhub 12Mbps

Lately since like a month ago, i've noticed that my torrent downloads and uploads have decreased TREMENDOUSLY. Has anyone been facing this problem. I'm using uTorrent 1.8.3. The problem is not that there is no seeders and leechers, there can be up to 1000+ seeders and leechers and i'm connected to hundreds of them BUTTTTT.... i am downloading at a miserable single digit figure.

I've heard lately that the ISPs are throttling bandwidth for torrents. Has anyone found a way to enjoy the bandwidth that we've paid for. It's getting fustrating to see this kind of crappy speed.

What's about Singtel and M1? Any comments about the ISP and torrent.

sometimes the speed depends on the soruce you have. I use Xunlei which can download through a lots of methods. some time the Bt download speed is quick but some time the speed is very slow.

my friends using m1 fix broadband. torrent is like super fast, u can go try their network lor. maybe sign up for their 6-mth contract? 10mpbs @ 43 bucks for 6mths or other better plans:look:

Many ppl using SH cable have been experiencing such issues recently even with many seeds.. So far, M1 Fixed BB network users did not experience such issue lo based on their comments..
