Hi,

I have been on phone with both m1 and sh CSO regarding Digital Voice. I currently have SH MOL with DV and want to switch to M1 100 Mbps.. But i dont want to lose my Digital Voice number and connectoin..

Is there any M1 BB user out there that also using SH Digital Voice or really cannot? :(

I call M1, they say check with SH. I call SH, they say check with M1 :s11: They both also not sure!

I currently have SBV4200 and would likely need to upgrade to SB6100, but then, how to either connect both modems at the same time, or how to connect DV line to SB6100?

All M1 say is "we dont have DV" (I KNOW! thats why i want to keep my DV connection from SH!), All SH say is "DV can work, as long as you connect to our modem" (I KNOW! but how to connect to M1 BB and keep my SH DV line?!). They all dont know for sure.. :/

Anyone happen to know a clear answer? Work or cannot work?

I think your option is to subscribe to M1 cable and retain starhub DV as a paid service. Not sure if there is any other way, but this is the only one I can think of.

Actually, that one i confirm with SH: I can keep DV free, coz im SH Digital Cable subscriber.. So, subscription not a problem.. Problem is the physical connection:

Wall -> Split(1= Digital Cable)(2= SBV4200 -> For MOL and DV)

Now, would need to change to:

Wall -> Split (1= Digital Cable)(2= Split -> (1= SB6100 (for M1BB) , 2= SBV4200 (for DV))

Confusing, but bsacially need to connect to M1BB and also need to keep old modem in place so i can physically connect my DV connection?

Or is there other solution?

Split 3 times lor, 1 for the CTV, 1 for the VeCM, 1 for the SB6100

So long as you still have a StarHub subscription, for your case, Digital Cable, you can keep it for free.

However, you will need to maintain 2 sets of cable modem (1 for your M1 100Mbps connection and 1 for your StarHub Digital Voice). Setup will be like what bro liangtam suggested. Split 3 ways. You will need to get a 3 way splitter however.

So now =

Signal from Wall -> 3 way splitter > Port 1: Digital Cable > Port 2: VeCM > Port 3: M1 Modem.

Too many splitting might weaker the signal somewhat. Alternatively, install the VeCM on a separate SCV point.

Separate point is also a branch(split) out what.

That one I know but having more split per point is no good to the signal which is why some point require signal booster.

The post earlier has a mistake, I mean a single 3-way splitter instead of double split.

Anyway, it make no sense having a signal booster. The output from original installation of each point already is calculated to be sufficient in the first place. Starhub fixes it if its the original point. And the thing is, booster isn't cheap.
