i've googled this problem to death.
i've seen a previous thread archived on this forum with a similar issue:

starhub has problems downloading rapidshare files, even if u've got premium.
the file is confirmed to exist, link takes forever to load, and when it does load, all it downloads is a 0-1byte file. Rapidshare.com works, but symptoms include the rapidshare logo refusing to load on the main website.

flashget or any dlm will keep getting repeated errors to connect to the server. the only solution (or rather non-solution) so far is to keep your DLM trying to download the file all night, and hopefully it gets through to the server when you wake up the next morning.

i think changing wan ip would be a more controllable solution, but it's hard to change wan ip on a cable to router setup.

I know there are a lot of starhub MOL users who signed up for RS premium out there, surely you aren't tolerating such a prolonged problem with your ISP?

Changing WAN ip is a piece of cake if you know how.
Besides, you didnt tried asking RS for help for the paid service?

how about a little helpful advice then :)? PM or anything if u dun wish to share to the public.

as for askin for RS paid service help, i'm pretty sure the problem in on SH's side so why bother with asking RS right :)?

Oh, simple. Changing the MAC ID of the connected device and then restarting the modem.

Make sure you can surf other sites properly also.

People actually pay for RS? When there are so many ways to get premium service for free?

there are a lot of rs prem sellers on hwz, and all those ppl who claim to get free access to premium are usually bullsh#tting or their method isn't that stable or consistent anyway.

anyway back on topic, legit rs premium users on sh, any fixes for this problem so far :(?

so the problem is that you cant download using download managers right?

but can you download (at rs prem speed) using your browser?

to date, I've never experience any problem with links not downloading and take forever to download with RS premium. I'm using MOL Premium btw

My methods are consistent, doesnt require any special software (well, one of them at least :X) and doesnt cost a dime. I dont get very good speeds (around 40-100kbps tops, but that could just be starfug's fault) but I do get what I want :)

Why would anyone want to BS about this? Not like they get money for doing it.

no, the link will try to load forever, no matter what i use, dl manager or not.

usually, i'll sleep on it, wake up next morning and it will be working tiptop. maybe it's not a SH problem but an intermittent RS problem, i couldn't be sure.

thing is, it happens say once every 2 days for 3-4hrs and can be quite frustrating when you got files you wanna download and watch in that timespan...

my settings already set to any server, and has always been that way.

Dont assume everyone else fails at using the internet just because you do ;)

1. 60-100 kpbs isn't rs premium speed, i'm talking 800kb-1mbps when starhub cables aren't being clogged up by traffic

2. as much as you did say it is consistent, it would never be as convenient as clicking on ANY rs link and have it load up like any other free http link on the www.

3. what you're doing is obviously limited by legality, that's why you're not openly sharing your technique. What's the point of coming on a thread made by a LEGIT rs premium user and telling us you can get it for free when we got other pressing issues at hand? your elcheapo technique obviously has proxy workarounds and what not, in which case this problem wouldn't apply to you anyway.

please don't entertain us with mindless bragging coz we couldn't care less if some cheapskate can get so-called RS premium for free, yet downloading at abysmal free user speeds.
