Did some research on AES & TKIP cos i wanted to know which one is recommended for high security but no overhead in connection speeds.
Quite confusing. Right now I just put WPA2 AES & TKIP for my router WRT54G Linksys. but I heard putting only AES is better.

tech spec of the adaptor will tell you if supported

All security options will have some overhead involved.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
In summary, putting only AES is the best.
If you can select the AES option in your configuration window, AES is supported. If that option is not available, it means the adapter does not support AES.
Updating the driver may help.
