Need help and advice

I need some advice on router issue. The problem is that everytime when I connect it my internet will become very slow
The router that I using is Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G
The modem I using is Motorola SB5100 Series Surfboard cable modem
The internet service is Maxonline Ultimate Plus

I also using U-torrent too

Please help ASAP
