Access both 2wire and Linksys router page

How do I access both devices router page?

Both devices are already in the same subnet (I can't think of the correct term)?

2wire address is

192.168.1.254

Linksys is

192.168.1.1

However when I am connected behind the linksys router and type in the 2wire address, I'll always get a timeout. Any ideas?

Okay the pppoe wan mode explains it. Any reason why?
