Unable to connect to Live Messenger and Hotmail

Since this afternoon, I am unable to connect to windows live messenger and check my hotmail account. I did not change any settings last night, so I cant think of why this is occuring.

I tried direct connection to bypass my router and it works. With router, it is unable to connect.

I am using Starhub Maxonline and Linksys WRT54GS. I am using the router for 2+ years now and there was no problem so far.

The windows live messenger troubleshooting tool says something is wrong with the "ports" according to it.

tried uninstalling and re-installing live messager using wlsetup-web.exe?

Right click WLM icon on task tray and click exit(not close!)

Open again, shld connect

Try using internet explorer to go online and make sure IE is not in offline mode.
