Dlink dir-855

Hi

Can the Dlink 855 act as a modem as well as a router?

If it doesn't what would be a good modem to buy to go with the dir-855 as my speedtouch 585v6 is starting to play up and reboot multiple times a day sometimes just looping in a restarts.

Don't want to go with the 2wire singtel would provide if I recontracted as I had nothing but problems with one of them in the past.

Do you need the wireless coverage of the 855?

Nope, dir-855 is just a wireless router.
Any modem shld do decently. Keep the ST585 running cool, and change adapter if you think its faulty.

most likely is ur speedtouch power adapter's fault... go and get a replacement...
