i second the Asia Pacific resort at Beitou.
The water in Wulai and Beitou is different. Beitou would be less pungent.

Sorry, perhaps I am mistaken. But Beitou is not pungent (to me).
I went to Asia Pacific, 2 hours at private room, 2 hours at public. Around SGD$25 weekday rate.
I would say its worth it.
I didn't make any reservations. just hopped on the bus at jiantan or shilin and their bus took us there. Very convenient. And we walked to XinBeitou after soaking for 4 hours, checked out their library. Very quaint architecture. Felt really sleepy after that. hehe. However, you may wish to reserve to play safe.
Shouldn't be doing this in the morning. Evening time would be better, then go back to sleep.
I checked the rates before going there, Sweetme was more expensive and for business travellers. And they are located at the foothills. Asia Resort has a jappy zen feel. Should try the cold pool and jacuzzi at the public domain. v shiok! =:p

i've tried both hot springs in beitou and wulai..
personally i actually prefer wulai because there was a much better view there with more interesting sights ard to walk ard for the day trip. not like beitou where u just soak for a few hrs, have lunch then leave the area le.. quite boring.
water wise i never see much diff with them. except that beitou's water might indeed be less pungent. but wulai's water is not smelly or anything. i felt it was just a faint hint of 'herbal' smell but does not disturb me at all.

Hi folks,
Those who have been to Asia Pacific or any other hot springs - do they accept credit card payments? Or only cash?
Thanks! :s12:

Hi garagling, kindly note that it was promo rate I saw when I walked into Beitou on a weekday. I saw that the prices in the website differs and is quite expensive.
