i just went to Hello shop to recontract my Mio plan. but they dont have stock for Nokia N85. So i went outside to exclusive retailer to ask for N85. I came to this shop n was offered $200 instead of getting the phone. So i recontracted and get $200 instead of a phone.
Is $200 very little? And i didnt get a new Mio Box whatsoever.

u just recontracted ur mobile plan not mio plan. u can still sign a broadband only plan if it is not under contract.

$200 is little below market rate, u can check out the mobile garage for contract payouts. last i saw was $230.

1yr ago was abt $250.

still it all depends on what ur plan has to offer.

i really signed mio plan. the 3mbps, IOne plus and house line at $55.80 one. the man also asked for my userID all tt. am i wrong? it was strange. he also told me i can upgrade phone after 12 mths becoz i recontract 24mths plan.

i check the 1626 n mio website now, i am still eigible to upgrade mio plan. the man has forgot to process my plan?

it should take some time for the retailer to update singtel..

ok. right now ur mio plan is under 24mths, same as ur phone line.

this retailer is paying u cash for ur line. he doesnt earn anything for the mio plan, only ur mobile line.

same as what i stated above.

u can upgrade phone after 12mths like any other mobile contract, but you have to pay extra $100 if u have not finished 24mths, just like any other mobile contract.

but singtel mio FAQ website says this

"I have less than 12 months contract balance on a 24 months contract. Am I eligible for a handset upgrade?
Yes, you will be able to recontract mio Plan (for 24 months) and enjoy a handset upgrade at a CI2 pricing."

it says i can enjoy CI2 price(>21mths). so no need to pay extra $100 leh. after 12mths

that i not sure liao. if can, than better for u.
