for me, default will be empty, using the transparent proxy.

if i encountered any website that i usually visit and it become very slow, or error loading, then i will enable the proxy to test. Sometime will be better, sometime not.

try to put in the dns servers as part of your network config (165.21.83.88 and 165.21.83.100), this helped me with my browsing speed.

Always uncheck the option "Automatically detect settings" in IE. This setting works only if there is WPAD in the environment, else it slows down initial launch of IE and start browsing.

Just leave everything empty and uncheck... Let the transparent proxies do its job.
