Since singtel has an offer for vas bbom at $3.50 for 2mb, i tot no harm signing up. but as per singtel site, one text email is abt 50k, that means i can download 40 emails a mth for such plan. Which mean one day i can rec one or two emails. Not forgetting I need to reply emails too. So is 2mb plan realistic? Otherwise, what is it for or what can one do with such plan. Cld it be that with such plan one tends to exceed the 2mb and pay alot more for data consumed?

I think 2 MB is on the low side. I think singtel doesn't have any CAP on their usage.

Singtel has no cap on the monthly bill. One day you will forget about the 2mb limit and will be in for a surprise when the month end bill comes.

My colleague showed me the sms he received from Singtel today. It is 3.50 a mth for 1GB of BBOM. I wonder if it is different customer given different package. I did not received any form of sms from Singtel pertaining to this promotion.

Yup do be careful about such Singtel promos... Do read the T&Cs before agreeing...

For eg, ST just recently launched the Blackberry value at $10.70 for 1GB. Seems so much cheaper than M1 and SH ($16)... BUT they did not state that it can't be used for surfing. Only messaging and email. Surfing will be charged separately without price cap.

Hidden in one corner of T&Cs.. Beware!! :s27:
