Just received a SMS from Singtel...$3.50/mth for 1GB access...with speed of up to 7.2Mbps...
I believe its a typo from ST? Anyone else received this SMS?
The last i've checked, $3.5/mth only for 2MB access per mth...
Anyhow i've replied to it to subscribe...if its really only 2MB then... :s27::s27::s27:

So it is by SMS invitation only?
Darn...was hoping to sign up BBOM on Comex but they do not have the 2M 50% off for VAS as what they have at the last PC Show.
Damn stingy, SingTel.

Hey all, new member here. Registered an account just to post up my experience about this. I received the same SMS two days ago and called up 1626 to ask if it was true, and the CSO didn't know what I was talking about either and told me to go down to the nearest hello shop to verify it. Since I wasn't so free I didn't bother to do that, but later on I found out that one of my friends also received the same SMS. We both signed up for it and received the confirmation that it'll be activated within 3 working days.
So this morning I called again to see if it was activated, and the rather rude CSO told me that the SMS contained an error (surprise) and should only be 2MB instead of 1GB, and so it would not be activated. Had a rather lengthy chat with her saying they should deliver on what is promised, and whether or not there was an error isn't my problem since there was no retraction sent out. Eventually she cut me off and said that she'll call me back "later".
10 hours later and still no call, I called back to them instead and another CSO spoke to me, and said that they're "investigating" it and will contact me as soon as possible, but not before repeating that it will not be subscribed to my account, so "don't worry".
Anyway, that's the end of it on my part. Based on my past experiences with SingTel when they say "will contact you/call you back ASAP" it usually takes quite a long time, so I guess for those who signed up for this and think that they'll be getting a sweet data plan, it's probably better to lay off the 3G for the moment until we get more concrete news from them.

thanks dude...that's why i always avoid calling them up. in fact if its not urgent i rather email them. their call agent are just not well trained at all.

Damn stingy, SingTel.
You may want to try out the 1mbps plan from M1, it was 50% at Comex, now I think is at 30% discount only.

Yup better cfm the facts abt 1GB before surfing. Otherwise, be prepared for an alarming bill liao should it prove to be wrong info..

Hey guys, I just went down to the Jurong Point Singtelshop yesterday to check and see if this BBOM lite thing was activated for me or not, and apparently it is. I verified the details with the guy attending to me that it is 3.50 bucks per month with 1GB of data, and it's for 6 months with 1 month free.
So, I suppose you guys could either call 1626 for them to check it for you or just go down to the nearest singtel shop and verify it.

$3.50 per month for 1Gb data? That's literally unheard of!
I am paying $19.90 per month 1Gb-plan for 6 months as I do not want to be tied up to a long 12-month contract. :o
