Urgent! Help needed with usb wireless adapter

Hi guys,

Recently got a new rig running on vista 32 bit. Using Linksys WUSB54G v4 usb adapter here. Problem is, I can't install the drivers and/or after installing I can get the adapter to work.

Either the adapter power goes on and off repeatedly, or it doesn't power at all. Neither does the wireless program run as it should like on WinXP.

Anyone got any solutions?

did u install drivers for vista 32?

even if no drivers, once u plug in the adapter the windows will popup message asking for drivers.

if not, try other USB ports. try other pc.

otherwise, do a os reload easiest.

Yes, I installed drivers for Vista.

Also tried with other USB ports. But all of them gave the same problem. Vista keeps detecting/undetecting the adapter i.e. like the adapter keeps getting plugged in and out.

Previously was working fine with my old rig running XP.

Anyone got any experience and solution for this?

I've seen this problem before, even with XP. The solution was throw away that USB nonsense and used PCI wireless card.

is your pc detecting thumbdrives well.

it may look like bad connection or the adapter is faulty.
