Dear Networking Experts,

I would like advise from your experts on how to reconfigure my wireless router since I am newbie in this.

I have an old Belkin Wireless G+Mimo Router (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=203415 (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=203415)) and recently I got a new N router (no brand since it's OEM). This new N router is now my main Wireless Router and I want to reconfigure my old Belkin to be utilize as either (1) repeater or (2) enhanced the wireless signal by riding on the N router signal.

Is there a tip to do this? Can you please explain in details?

Thank you very much.

not sure if ur belkin got repeater feature but mine doesnt. mine is belkin n1 router... so i bought this engenius router at comex.

if yes, then just set it as the same ssid and set the password and it shld automatically link up with the new router.

is it called access point?

if so ur router doesnt support.

but u can run ethernet cable from ur N to ur G to let it broadcast at another location.

not access point. it's "repeater" mode or WDS mode.

oh i see.

for access point, the router receives the wireless signal and sends it via ethernet?
