Hi,
My Singnet 10mbps line just got activated today.
I have an email sent to me from the technical helpdesk from Singnet.
The test is to download a 1meg file from Singnet's ftp server.
I did that, and also downloaded the 100meg one.
I've never gone above 5mbps.
Is this normal?

Does it matter which telephone socket in the house is used?

I changed the location of the modem. Plugged it into another telephone wall socket.

It could be your wiring issues..... or socket problem...

If socket/wiring problems, usually what is the solution?
Rewire everything and pay how much?
All sockets now have microfilters.
And today my speed is back to half again.
Also noticed that my ping is generally double that of you guys.

Thought you plug into another socket ok liao?
Is it still the same socket?
Else it also could be the wiring to the telephone board..
a lot of factors

Plugged into another socket last night, and the speed was ok, although ping was 50+.
But this morning til now the speed has dropped to half, like before.

Let's hope it lasts.
